Το Ρέμα
To Rema
To Rema began its activity in the restaurant industry in 1985, with the aim of offering Greek customers both familiar and original flavours in a pleasant and friendly environment. It soon became a popular meeting place for students, intellectuals and food lovers of Thessaloniki.
It became a legendary taverna, where it was difficult to find a table unless you booked well in advance.
To Rema developed a unique concept that combines gastronomy with references to the political and social events of the time.
Dishes were given distinctive names such as “Golden Olympiad,” “New World Order,” “Papariga,” “Perestroika,” “Pampers” and many others.
Many of these legendary dishes are still revived at To Rema today.
Our guests are warmly welcomed and looked after by Christos Papadopoulos and our team.
Clean and welcoming surroundings, crisp white tablecloths, carefully selected Greek folk and rebetiko music, and a commitment to quality are all part of the To Rema experience.
During the summer, our lush green courtyard becomes a peaceful oasis, just minutes from the centre of Thessaloniki.
We also host a variety of special occasions, including christenings, birthdays, name-day celebrations, graduation parties and private events.
The dishes featured on our menu are based on recipes created and developed by Chef and Culinary Arts Instructor Stavroula Keisidou.
